We never do nothing but we do it so well…
It occurred to me the other day when I received the Roger Corman bio in the mail that if I’m going to order a book every week, I need to read a book every week. I may have time this weekend to tackle Director’s Cut.
Todd and I ponged on Wednesday afternoon. He won the first two series: 2-1 and 2-0. I won the two “Championship” games. The last game was probably the best game we played and it was a fight to the finish. There were no skunks.
I watched Barcelona last night during dinner and while I worked. It’s such a quietly good movie. I only have the VHS tape that I bought 9(?) years ago. I need to get it on DVD. I think the best line of the movie comes at the end from the consul when describing how foreigners view Americans: he explains that America is like an ant farm only not every one can see it so they only know what the media tells them about it. “The problem,” he says, “is that these people seem to hate ants.”
There’s an ass-load of good shows in town tonight, but I have got to stay in. I stayed up too late a couple of nights ago and it has ruined my schedule. Besides, tomorrow, three good bands play one show that I’m planning on attending.
Next week the new Fox sit-com staring Pam Anderson, Stacked, debuts. I have got to record that. Because I like crap.
