She looks good, chipped beef, such a miracle frame…
It’s been a hectic few days. I’ve been moving NashvilleZine to WordPress and in the process re-designing the site. I’m completely scatter-brained so excuse the rambling. WordPress is challenging to set-up and get functioning the way you like it, but once you do, it is so much smoother to operate than MovableType.
Since starting the Zine, I’ve always felt a little torn between webzines I was running–which one gets this review, this bit of news? Which deserves my attention? But clearly, NashvilleZine is making more of a splash than Popshot these days and I feel good working hard for it.
I got my first royalty check for Being Good and that’s definitely noteworthy. It’s not much, but it’s cool nonetheless.
I’ve been setting up a MySpace page to promote all my stuff (previously I’ve set them up just for one project). Ginger Coyle, a musician from New Jersey, got in touch to say she’d read Being Good and loved it. How sweet. Go listen to her music. She plays very naked songs–just an acoustic guitar and voice. That is incredibly brave.
Finally, my friends Dave and Suzy had their baby. Well, Suzy was the one who actually gave birth to it. I haven’t seen the little tyke yet, but he’s got some great parents. Congratulations to them. I can’t wait to give the kid his first drum kit. Oh, how Dave and Suzy will love me.
