I’m calling foul on these new music videos where the video proper is in a letterbox view in the middle of the screen and there’s something else entirely going on around the edges of the video. It’s the most godawful confusing mess ever. And in the world of music video, that’s really saying something. Beyonce, LL Cool J, and Jamie Fox all have new videos in this format.

You know what else really bothers me in videos? Those scenes where the singer is doing something so unrealistic. Something they could never do. Just this morning, I saw Mary J. Blige typing. On a computer!
