Like I was saying, what’s so great about Nick Cave is the pure menace with which he sings. Everybody writes sad songs but I don’t know anyone who’s got the punch of Cave.

I’ve been on a bit of a Morrissey kick lately due to the release of his new record and as tough as I’d argue Moz is, he’s largely pathetic — constantly turning the knife back on himself.

Cave doesn’t do that shit. The knife is always pointed outwards. And it’s so cathartic.

And man, does he love his adjectives.
