The Features leave Universal (or “Universal drops the Features”):

Earlier this week our record label offered us a chance to record a cover song for a large corporation to be used in a commercial. In addition to using the song in the commercial they wanted us to put it on our record and potentially use it as a single. We turned down the offer(knowing the probable consequences), and our record label dropped us.

This seems odd that it all took place within a week. Rumor is the cover song Universal wanted was a Beatles song.

UPDATE: Brittney can’t decide if this is honorable or idiotic. I think there’s some part of the story that they’re not telling us (as I said, a week seems hasty when you’ve known rock bands who wait months just to get a phone call returned from their label) but until we hear the whole story, my vote is for idiotic.
