So for a few weeks (owing mostly to my delay in getting a proof returned), the full-size edition of Barry’s Cherries has been lingering in iUniverse limbo — status: Author Proofing Stage. Over the weekend, the status changed to Book Production in Progress. Production, they say, takes 4 to 6 weeks.

This seems a little odd to me — perhaps it’s been in production for a while but the status hadn’t changed on the website. But there is the chance that the book actually didn’t enter production until last week. This is slightly disappointing. I wanted the book out and available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and others this summer. It is a summertime book, after all, and a quick beach read.

Of course, Barry’s Cherries is available in the pocket edition and as a digital download through Lulu on Amazon. I hope you’ll check it out.
