Positive contact
I finished reading The Dharma of Star Wars last week. I enjoyed it and I’ll have more to say about it later.
Monday night, I was at Borders just wandering around. They had a “3 for 2” sale going on but I couldn’t find 3 books that I wanted. I actually left Borders and then came back to wander some more. I decided that I’d look for Under the Banner of Heaven since I’d heard good things about it. I couldn’t find it in the section where I thought it would be; I turned around to ask an employee; and there it was on another 3 for 2 table. I knew I had been beaten. So I also grabbed Running With Scissors and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time too.
I picked up Under the Banner of Heaven that night and became immediately engrossed. I have since had serious trouble putting it down. Monday and Tuesday night, I read until I could not read anymore and have had to force myself to put it away to get other things done. I have it at my temp job with me and have been trying to read on the elevator. It’s that interesting.
