I finally watched Batman Begins over the weekend. I’ll add it to the column of super-hero movies that I’ve really enjoyed. Last week’s Marvel Mania had sort of lowered the bar but Batman raised it back up. I experienced the same feeling I had with Superman Returns earlier this year where after two hours, I didn’t want it to end.

I wasn’t that into the story of the film. I still wish someone would make a super-hero movie that’s really intimate. The all-out chaos of the finale was a little hard to bear. But I liked the character of Batman and loved the film’s look and feel. And, as always, I was grateful it moved apace.
