I’ve always liked Watt personally but never took a shine to his music. True story: my band Heather got bumped from a live radio interview during said interview so that Watt could appear. Like literally, we were in the booth being interviewed and some dude rushed in and said, “Mike Watt’s here. We’re going to interview him now. Get out.”

I remember Watt asking what the best punk rock band in Nashville was. The DJ said “Brown Towel.” While we looked on from the other booth now twice dissed.
