I was just mentioning this podcast to my friend Boris and thought I should write about it here.

I listened to James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem on Fresh Air this week (podcast from June) and really enjoyed it. I’m not a fan of LCD but I liked hearing Murphy talk about his music. Possibly because it’s interesting to hear someone who has a lot of the same ideas about music that I do but makes music that’s almost diametrically opposed to the music I make: LCD songs are danceable, long, layered with instruments and played loudly.
