As speaker after speaker took the podium during a recent City Council meeting, one resident voiced his concerns in a more unconventional way – with a folk song.

I love this bit…

“The best way to get under somebody’s skin is to sing about them,” he said.

And of course…

Koken doesn’t know whether he’ll sing at future meetings – it all depends on whether or not he can write a song to fit the situation.

“It’s a matter of composition,” the singer said. “Writing music – it’s tougher than practicing politics.”
