Teaching Grammar In Absentia

A month and so ago, Marybeth Shea, an English Professor at the University of Maryland (I looked at school there!), contacted me and asked if she could use my song An Apostrophe Never Made Anything Plural in her English class.

I said of course and offered to come perform it. Unfortunately, we couldn’t agree on a travel rider and contract negotiations broke down. (Those Terrapins can’t send a simple Hummer limo to pick me up from the chartered aircraft I requested?)

Anyway, I don’t know how the song came off in class. Professor Shea told me she has her students actually sing. I’m just happy to be included.
