I headed down to Paul Hines’s new open mic at the Anchor Bar on Monday night. It’s a cool little place, tucked away in a little shopping center. There was some discussion over what that smell was when one walked in the room. I choose to believe it was pizza cheese from the place upstairs. Other than that, it’s a homey little place with Elvis and hula dancers on the walls.

We all played 3 songs. There were two comedians. There were only a few non-participating audience members and they didn’t stick around all night. But if enough musicians start showing up, it could be a nice little hang.
