I saw The Hives last night. It wasn’t quite the religious experience that seeing them in April was. That’s not The Hives’ fault. The show was fucking spectacular. But the Observatory isn’t as intimate as Belly Up and I was much farther away from the stage and the heart of the crowd.

The Hives… man. They are just pure rock ‘n’ roll. They possess an unreal balance of showmanship, musicianship and great hooks. I think they’re the best rock show I’ve ever seen and I would like to see them as much as possible.
