I quit a job I didn’t like

I’ve tried writing about the job I just quit several times. Each time, it turns into an epic that’s too far-reaching. Once that happens, I worry about my own motivations for writing it. That’s become something of a writer’s block for me.

So I just thought I’d distill the thought: I quit the job because I didn’t like it. That’s what it boils down to. I wasn’t able to do work I liked. I wasn’t able to do good work. My time was chopped up. I wasn’t able to publish.

There are a thousand other reasons and influences on quitting. But no one thing I write has to address them all. So I’m going to try to approach it in digestible portions.
