The big news: I’ve finished writing my new book

The big news I have this week is that I’ve finished writing a book on work called good.simple.open.

Five years ago, I left a lousy job for a lousier one and wondered what is it that causes so much work to be so poorly executed. I gave myself a clear objective: do good work. And I drew up the values that would help me do it: simplicity and openness.

I’ve been writing notes and essays for good.simple.open since then while I’ve struggled through more bad, complex, and closed jobs. When I went freelance this year, one of my goals was to finish the book. I have.

I’m a do-it-yourself kinda guy so I’m editing this with friends and preparing to publish it myself as a Kindle book and paperback. If you’re interested in it, please consider joining my mailing list, following me on Twitter, and contributing to my GoFundMe campaign to get one of the first copies.

Here’s where you join the mailing list for the book.
